Why did we make the Antimatter Chair?
The idea for the Antimatter chair was born at 11,000 ft. on Mt. Rainier where our founder, Shawn, simply wanted a comfortable chair to recline and soak in the breathtaking views. The catch? No climber wants to pack unnecessary weight and a traditional 5 lb. chair, the size of a backpack itself, just didn't cut it.
It begged the question: Why hadn't the design principles of ultralight and packable tents been applied to camp chairs? Using a similar solution of carbon fiber poles and ripstop nylon, the Antimatter Chair will change the way you consider bringing a little extra comfort without adding excess pack weight.
Don't believe this tacky story? We've got proof! (because the internet never lies, right?) Check out the photo below from the very spot of inception.
